I`ve painted this piece partly out of imagination. Impasto strokes are very hard. I used green, purple, white, ocher, blue and red. The horizon by the sea is quite high. The sailboat is moving fast. Impressionism helps to create a mood, but the painting is more about expressionism. The sky is cloudy. But the weather is sunny ... And a yacht is white, modern and stylish.

Artem Brazhnik is a painter from Ukraine who has exhibited nationally. He drew often as a child and after his father saw one of his, he exclaimed that he was an artist, which he has remained ever since. Brazhnik’s works mainly feature landscapes, favoring impressionism as his favorite technique for plein air painting. He prefers to create using oils on canvas.
