"The Agnichaitas, or higher-grade fire spirits, form a vortex of fire and are seen on a large scale in volcanoes and great fires. They are closely linked to an even more important group of devas, who form the envelope igneous of the Sun
This leads us to the topic that we really want to elucidate regarding this third group of lower devas. As far as man is concerned, they are very destructive, since they constitute the last and therefore the powerful… vibration of the previous system, the conscious activity of dense matter. Hence, the statement that man is "at the mercy of the elements" contains great truth. Fire can physically burn man and destroy him, he is defenseless against volcanic action and cannot protect himself against the ravages of fire, except in the initial stages of such devic effort.
