Series: Crowned
As a woman, a mother, and a professional, I am deeply marked by the complexity of the roles women are expected to embody today: to be present, accomplished, strong, beautiful, organized — all while carrying an often invisible mental load.
Through my female portraits, I explore this duality. My women are crowned with flowers — radiant, luminous, almost triumphant. The… flowers blooming in their hair symbolize the vitality and energy women deploy every day.
Yet behind this explosion of colour, the gaze tells another story. Often distant, sometimes filled with tears, it reveals a more fragile depth. It speaks of silent exhaustion, inner tension, and the pressure of constantly having to measure up. This contrast between the freshness of coloru and the intensity of the gaze reflects the dual identity of the contemporary woman: powerful yet vulnerable, crowned yet overwhelmed.
