About this artwork

In this work, I fused acrylic and marble powder to create an energetic abstract landscape, oscillating between realism and imagination. Bright and bold colors interact with subtle nuances, evoking emotions of serenity mixed with a burst of life. I was inspired by a scorching summer walk in the heart of the Rambouillet forest, around… the Angennes rocks in Poigny-la-Forêt in Yvelines (78).
Its colors evoke ferns burned by the sun, pines, birches and oaks, as well as the source of a small river, called the Guesle. The cracks evoke rocks; the fragility and friability of these astonishing chaos of sandstone with strange shapes.
