About this artwork

About four years ago, I received a fascinating challenge from a one of boutique hotels in Azerbaijan: they asked me to create 33 paintings in just one month. The process of how I managed to bring those works to life is a story in itself — full of late nights, creative bursts, and a whole lot of passion. Once I finished and delivered the paintings, they found their place adorning the walls of the hotel rooms, adding a unique touch to the space. …

But the story doesn't end there. One of the hotel guests was captivated by one of my pieces, titled "Blue City." So much so, that he decided to order a personal copy. Today, that very painting hangs proudly in his office, a constant reminder of that creative journey and the unexpected ways art finds new homes.

Bahar Guliyeva, a self-taught artist from Azerbaijan, uses a variety of mediums, imbued with grief and personal awakening.
