About this artwork
For me, "The Sacred Garden" is a reflection of my inner world—an attempt to capture a space where tranquility and mysticism intertwine. I wanted to create something that feels alive and breathing, with swirling pinks, purples, and greens that invite viewers to lose themselves in the beauty and serenity of it. This piece is my personal ode to the sacredness I see in nature and life itself, a space where I feel connected and at peace. I hope it brings… a sense of calm and wonder to those who experience it, just as it did for me while I was creating it.
Bahar Guliyeva, a self-taught artist from Azerbaijan, uses a variety of mediums, imbued with grief and personal awakening. The evolution of her style, from spontaneous fluid art to a more controlled approach, incorporates palette knives for rich texture and pattern. Inspired by Kandinsky and Pollock, she plays with color and form, achieving emotional depth. Her work, a tribute to resilience and shared humanity, broadcasts profound feelings of love, loss and hope.
