About this artwork
In this canvas, I wanted to convey a vortex of emotions that mix and collide, just like the tumultuous movements of the human soul. The use of oil allowed me to play with the depth of colors, creating an almost three-dimensional effect. The shades of pink, green and brown blend together to evoke passion, mystery and a touch of melancholy. Barbara Caputo, a Roman lawyer with roots in Capri, chooses self-taught and oil as her preferred medium, but recently she has blended acrylic and sealants to give a material consistency.
