About this artwork
Sussurri Onirici is a project dedicated to the world of dreams, a timeless space where the boundaries between reality and imagination dissolve. Through oil painting I create rarefied and luminous images, similar to fragments of thoughts and emotions. The flowers, while remaining abstract, come close to figuration, giving life to intimate and vibrant compositions. Each painting, with the liveliness and harmony of its colors, wants to be an invitation… to stop and listen to yourself, entering your own emotional space, where everything seems possible.
Barbara Caputo, a Roman lawyer with roots in Capri, chooses self-taught and oil as her preferred medium, but recently she has blended acrylic and sealants to give a material consistency. Her artistic practice is guided by a free and spontaneous approach, reflecting the wonder and amazement evoked by nature in the depiction of flowers overwhelmed by her emotions. Her works exude powerful feelings, orchestrating an introspective journey for the viewer, resonating with the artist's own emotions during painting.
