Painting as addiction and longing.
I constantly have images in my head, and I have to paint them to see them, to have them before me, instead of just inside me. I call them visual thoughts. They come in their colorful and planimetric structure, and I have to paint them. I don't know what would happen if I didn't. I can't imagine it, but the mere thought of not being able to transfer these distinct forms onto canvas or cardboard is an oxymoron and feels like an amputation.
