In these times when our environment is in danger, wonder at the infinitely small is an extraordinary source of inspiration.
In this work, I explored the fragile interaction between Indian ink and oil to capture the ephemerality and delicacy of the shapes that float freely on the paper. The reddish evokes passion, while the patterns recall the delicate wings of butterflies. Each element vibrates with an energy that invites contemplation and inspires… inner harmony, bringing a touch of serenity and mysterious beauty to any living space.
Barbara Lavenda works in painting, sculpture, inks, oil, and metal wire, inspired by the sea and the Normandy countryside. She boldly blends techniques, exploring transparency to stimulate the gaze and invite dreams, sometimes even incorporating words as a visual language. Her work oscillates between intimacy and proclamation, allowing each viewer the freedom to experience multiple and personal emotions, carried by light and ambient poetry.
