The Rorschach test
It is a psychodiagnostic test procedure for which the Swiss Hermann Rorschach (1884-1922) developed his own personality theory, and which was later linked to the theories of the Freudian school. It belongs to the so-called projectile tests and is used by psychoanalysts and psychiatrists with the aim of assessing the entire personality of the test subject.
The series of images, created under the title Rorschach, aims to place… the viewer at the center of the art. Each individual image thus only finds its unique interpretation in the subconscious of its viewer.

Bastian Schnitzer works as a painter with a wide variety of materials, including acrylics, oils, chalk, sugar, and salt, on canvas, wood, plexiglass, and crepe paper. After 15 years in the printing industry, he dedicated himself entirely to art. His techniques combine abstract and representational elements; he continuously experiments with new forms of presentation, such as series of paintings, caricatures, and interactive projects. He places great emphasis on freedom of interpretation, allowing viewers to gain personal insights by immersing themselves in his works. His paintings are full of depth and provoke emotional pause and self-reflection.
