“Hippo Junior” captures the tender moment when a young hippopotamus turns its head towards the viewer, creating a face-to-face encounter that is both curious and endearing.
The subject is constructed through blocks of colored patches which, when assembled, give rise to the form. Up close, the composition reveals an abstract vibration; from afar, the animal appears with gentleness and presence.
Through this work, I explore the encounter between… structure and spontaneity, and how color can shape life. A contemporary and sensitive interpretation of wild innocence.
