About this artwork
My dream is to paint pictures that give courage to myself and other people.
A powerful image develops gradually and over a longer period, as is also the case with Nicolas de Staël. In the end, various influences unite to create an unexpected joy. It is fascinating to ignite imagination with color. The new is integrated into the old. Change is the current state of affairs.
The series deux vases de fleurs is inspired by the painting of the same… name by Nicolas de Stael.
I am self-taught. My theme is the expression of a quality of life that is partly aspiration, partly reality. Abstraction is my preferred technique because it opens the door to possibility. It's fascinating to unleash the imagination with color. The view becomes abstract, is painted over, the new is integrated into the old. Change is omnipresent.
