Retired literature teacher, has created a site of so-called "classic" poems, practically all dedicated to Provence.
Rocks all twisted, sewn and crunchy,
They are black, gray under the heavy white sun.
Striped with sharp lines, cutting gullies,
They catch the wind pouring down from their flanks.
They are rough, thick, without an ounce of sweetness.
The rain abandons them or… does not linger there.
The bushes there are dry, and the summer there is red
To the bottom of the ravines that the sun bombards.
And yet people come there very willingly to walk.
We wander at the bottom of hollow goat paths,
The nose in scout, nostrils enticed,
A flowering shoot stuck between the lips.
Because the air there smells so good of thyme and savory,
Lavender and honey, sun and pines,
May the sense of smell be moved, and all the senses in celebration,
We come to pick three sprigs of rosemary...
