About this artwork
HUGE is a composition based on several scans.
Scanography is a different way of discovering reality. It's not a drawing, but it has something of those old-fashioned biologist's sketches. It's not a photograph, but it reproduces reality so precisely that it deviates from the reality we know. Fine art pigment print, laminated with elastic silicone under a seamless 5mm high-transparency methacrylate plate.
Production exclusively on demand.

« I explore the essence of art and am intrigued by the "why" of works that last over time, as well as the why of those that fall into oblivion. »
Begoña Lafuente is a painter and illustrator based in the Netherlands whose works have been widely exhibited internationally, as well as in Spain. For her, art is a timeless conversation where not everything is said and "the essential is diluted." Lafuente describes her works as a game of combinations that combines materials, textures and colors, improvising new routes for the senses. In addition, she integrates movement and contrast in her compositions to cultivate visual and emotional tension.
