About this artwork
WIND AND FANTA IS A PAINTING made with different techniques on wooden boards - pressed wood shavings. I have used acrylic, ink, collage and epoxy.
Wind. Wind at all hours. Even you sitting there waiting in the cafeteria are part of this landscape in movement.
I have chosen this textured wood because the random way in which the shavings are superimposed in all directions seems precious to me. It influences a lot when you are faced with the choice… of one technique or another and makes the figure take on a life of its own.
Framed in black lacquered wood. The total size of the framed work is 64x64 cm and it is ready to hang.

Begoña Lafuente is a painter and illustrator based in the Netherlands whose works have been widely exhibited internationally, as well as in Spain. For her, art is a timeless conversation where not everything is said and "the essential is diluted." Lafuente describes her works as a game of combinations that combines materials, textures and colors, improvising new routes for the senses. In addition, she integrates movement and contrast in her compositions to cultivate visual and emotional tension.
