Beka Gigauri is a painter and draftsman with Georgian roots whose artistic career began in Tbilisi and eventually led him to Berlin, where he works primarily with diluted oil paint on canvas and ink on paper. His technique combines abstract expressionism, impressionism, and surrealism and imitates photographic processes – always intuitive and experimental. Through minimalist means and a process-oriented approach, he creates works that appear like visual snapshots of thought. Gigauri conveys a sense of wonder and invites the viewer to experience the mysterious and invisible nature of existence.
