About this artwork
Part of a new collection of work inspired by my background in Psychology, looking at the experiences and moments that help shape our character. Coming out of a long term relationship, and entering a new one, I'm looking at how the external vision of what others see is often not a complete image. Our individual stories are the combined building blocks of what makes us whole, and those blocks are held together by the underlying character traits we…

So to look at one of these portraits, it is my hope that the viewer will consider the experiences and stories that make them who they are, and perhaps recognise their own strengths and fragilities. And in turn, consider how much of their image is honest and open to others.
