About this artwork
This painting was done in acrylic with very pronounced textures. The painting is divided into two main sections.
The upper part is dominated by shades of fiery red and orange, applied in thick layers that create the effect of a tumultuous and vibrant sky. The brushstrokes or knife strokes are broad and directional, evoking clouds or reflections of intense light.
The lower, darker section represents the sea or a body of water. It is mainly composed… of tones of black, midnight blue, and dark green, applied more horizontally, like waves or calm, deep reflections. Textures are also very present, adding a sense of movement and relief.
The contrast between the passionate red sky and the dark, mysterious sea is very strong, creating an atmosphere that is both dramatic and contemplative.
The edges are painted black, the canvas is varnished.
