« I am looking for a work that will surpass the previous ones while being able to suggest an array of emotions and stay alive despite the action of time. »
Bernard Métranve is an award-winning French sculptor who has exhibited in Belgium, Luxembourg and France. Métranve works are now abstract, but what links the different methods, techniques and themes explored throughout his artistic career is the search for harmony and the purity of lines. His bronze works begin with modelling the piece in clay, from which he then makes a wax impression that is sent to a foundry. Lastly, he controls the cast iron, carving and patina of the composition.
