About this artwork
The Fall of the Buddha is an artistic attempt to reverse the values of religious appropriation based on historical and cultural standards. The fall culminates in a metamorphosis, a further development of religious symbolism. The question arises: what is more eternal than the veneration of a religious symbol, its essence or its visible manifestation?

My entire development as an artist and painter has been and continues to be characterized by inspiration and self-reflection.
Style is foreign to me, although upon closer inspection of my work the author is clearly and unmistakably recognizable.
I subordinate my forms of expression to the specific topic I am currently working on.

Studied painting and graphic arts at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle/Saale from 1974 to 1979/Graduated with a diploma
Studio in Weimar/Thuringia from 1980 to 1989
May 1989 Departure and relocation to West Germany
Studio in Hagen aTW /Lower Saxony from 1990 - 1998
Studio in Leipzig from 1999 to 2016
Studio in Berlin from 2016 to present
