About this artwork
In this work, I used acrylic and resin to create a scene that challenges.
It juxtaposes the elements of the film:
“no country for old men”.
With the symbols:
The desert landscape evokes feelings of loneliness and abandonment, while the presence of objects like the skull and the gun raises questions about mortality, moral choices and one's own doom.
It is a reflection on the weight of our decisions and the fragility of life. This painting will… bring to your interior a deep dimension and the same fascination that I feel for the filmography of the Cohen brothers.
Trained at Saint Luc Tournai and the Académie des Beaux-Arts, this painter, draftsman, and sculptor is deeply rooted in American mythology. Using acrylics enhanced with ink, his works capture the isolation of cinematic landscapes and Native American reservations with raw vibrancy. His almost vital painting evokes a passion for exploration whose intensity is as varied as the shades of color.
