About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the vibrant and exuberant energy of pop art, combined with the aesthetics of comics and erotic images from the 50s. For reference, this is the film "Dust till the Down" by Robert Rodriguez.
Using acrylics, I created a landscape that fuses the graphic design of the American desert with iconic elements of the 1950s, thus offering a reflection on popular culture.
It's a piece that vibrates with color and dynamism,… bringing a touch of originality for fans of the Tarantino universe. Watch it while listening to the latest album from Tito and Tarantula!
Trained at Saint Luc Tournai and the Académie des Beaux-Arts, this painter, draftsman, and sculptor is deeply rooted in American mythology. Using acrylics enhanced with ink, his works capture the isolation of cinematic landscapes and Native American reservations with raw vibrancy. His almost vital painting evokes a passion for exploration whose intensity is as varied as the shades of color.
