"'Awakening' (Despertar) is an invitation to transcend the boundaries of the tangible and immerse oneself in the sacred geography of the inner self. Inspired by the profound wisdom of the Heart Sutra mantra —Gate Gate Pāragate— this artwork captures the precise moment of Bodhi or enlightenment, where consciousness detaches from the density of the physical world to merge into an ethereal atmosphere of astral lights and absolute serenity.
Through… an oniric palette of celestial violets and diffused golds, the central figure personifies the peace of the spirit in communion with the Whole. The vibrant blooming at the base of the composition symbolizes the expansion of the soul and the beauty that emerges following deep introspection.
More than a painting, this is a visual portal toward stillness; an ode to the light that resides in silence and a chromatic testimony that awakening is, in essence, recognizing the divinity that has always inhabited us."
