About this artwork
For me, this work is a homage to the tranquility and clarity of nature. The cool blue tones create a cool, meditative atmosphere that exudes serenity and freshness in any room. I wanted to capture the power and serenity of an iceberg, thereby creating an inspiring balance between strength and stillness. It invites reflection and immerses one in deep emotions. The image is reminiscent of icy landscapes that are on the verge of disappearing due to… climate change. It is a homage to the beauty of icebergs, to their transience and their special radiance.
Bettina Gründel works with acrylic on canvas and creates abstract alabaster sculptures; she brings a solid background through her diploma from the Offenbach University of Art and Design as well as international professional development. With abstracted landscapes and nature-inspired sculptures, she employs innovative techniques and a clear formal language. Her works convey deep reverence, admiration, and an inviting appreciation for the beauty and significance of nature.
