About this artwork
In this work, I created the moving, cracked texture with homemade structure paste and crackle paste to create a lively structure. The different cracks in the texture appeared when it dried. I primed the picture with gold acrylic paint to make the colors shine.
This painting conveys a strong connection to nature, particularly through the organic-looking vertical lines and earthy colors. The cracks and breaks in the surface create a texture reminiscent… of a weathered landscape or tree bark. The green and blue tones give the painting a freshness, but at the same time, the fragile surface conveys a feeling of age and transience.
For the viewer, the image can be both calming and thought-provoking, as it visualizes themes such as the natural cycle of growth and decay. The structure seems almost alive.
