About this artwork
In my artwork I used acrylic paints to create a city that hovers between dream and reality. Using expressionist techniques, I express emotions and energy that invite the viewer on a mystical journey. The color palette of cool blue and vibrant purple creates an atmosphere full of mystery and discovery. This painting will evoke a sense of wonder and inspiration in any room.

Blanka Mandel is an award-winning artist based in Germany whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally and in Switzerland. Creating in themes, her on going "Mystical Places" series depicts fantastical locations where viewers can find peace and "recharge their batteries". In addition, Mandel's fairytale imagery are narrative-based pieces that symbolize moving events from her past. Her vibrant pieces are made using acrylics and oils on canvas and wood.
