About this artwork
In this work, I captured the fluid movement of birds soaring in a fiery sky using acrylic paints. The abstract forms and warm tones reflect freedom and transformation. I wanted to convey the feeling of lightness and new beginnings that brings a dynamic, vibrant energy to any space. This painting invites you to experience the moment of stillness in flight and to discover new perspectives.
Britta Kaping is a passionate painter from Rostock who mainly works with acrylic and oil and has been painting since childhood. Her style ranges between abstraction and figuration and is strongly inspired by nature, movement, and atmosphere. The focus is on recurring motifs such as sailboats, cranes and the interplay of water, sky and light. Working with spatula techniques creates richly textured surfaces that generate depth and dynamism. Color is used not only as a design element, but also as a carrier of mood and emotion. While some works are characterized by movement and color intensity, others are distinguished by tranquility, reduction, and an almost meditative effect. This tension is a central component of her artistic practice. The images invite you to pause and develop your own associations - between vastness, stillness and moments of movement.
