About this artwork
« Personally, I believe that the most human thing is intuition, that is where the truth lies for me- in the emotional, the intangible ... »
Spanish painter Bruno Vázquez always remembers travelling to the north of Spain when he was young, and always carrying a notebook with him to draw everything he saw. Vázquez is interested in exploring transformation and the influence of the passage of time on humans and objects. Using any means at his disposal, including watercolor, ink, graphite, acrylic, spray paint, and charcoal, Vázquez reveals that he always ends up using water as a catalyst for everything. Vázquez's abstracted works and landscapes are atmospheric and soul-stirring.
