About this artwork
I let my brush and imagination roam free to materialize, at the center of a river of colors and textures, a woman's silhouette nestled within the swirling lines of color. Her hair transforms into a luminous, evanescent cloud, while her body, rendered in distinct areas of color, in flat planes, seems to emerge from a formal materialization of the trails of color around her. Here, I combine my pleasure in working with color, the movements and textures…
of the paint, with the representation of the female figure as a vehicle for emotions, for a kind of contemplative identity. "Smoky Girl" is the formless taking shape to make sense, the idea behind the intuition, the embodiment in subjectivity of a free and continuous flow of energies and emotions.
