About this artwork
I created this piece to celebrate the tension and harmony between tradition and modernity. The layering of textures, from embroidery to buttons, invites you to feel the rhythm of contrast and unity. It pulses with a dynamic energy that will enliven any space, inspiring reflection on the beauty found in unexpected combinations. This artwork is a vibrant conversation starter, full of life and movement.
Born in Romania, I create mixed media artworks inspired by Romanian traditions, folklore, and the cultural landscapes that have shaped my life. After living in Norway for eight years and since 2022 in Vienna, I have been deeply influenced by the richness of both Nordic and Central European culture. These experiences have expanded my visual language and continue to feed my artistic practice. I began my creative journey over ten years ago with cross-stitching, and through a long and evolving process, I discovered my passion for mixed media art. Embroidery became my signature technique, layered onto painting to create works that are tactile, expressive, and deeply personal. My art reflects memory, heritage, and identity, bringing together tradition and contemporary expression in a unique visual dialogue. A dialogue between folklore, memory, and mixed media expression.
