About this artwork
In this work, I capture the complexity of human emotions through intertwined figures representing different states of being. I used acrylics to play with vibrant contrasts and shadows that suggest depth and inner conflict. I wanted to convey the struggle and unity of being, inviting the viewer to connect with their own duality. This piece fills any space with intense energy and profound reflection.
Camille Oudinot, a Buenos Aires native with an artist father, works primarily in acrylic on large canvases, shaped by years of intuitive self-teaching and mentorship with Juan Astica. Her gestural style employs layered, textured brushwork, embracing accidents and favoring bodies that merge with their environments in a state of emergence or disappearance. Her paintings evoke a visceral sense of connection—viewers feel the weight, movement, and warmth of bodies dissolving into their surroundings, communicating emotion in a way that is both intimate and transformative.
