About this artwork
This painting was created upon learning of the death of an very old friend in Norway. The colour of blue speaks to the third eye's intuition, clairvoyance, astral travel and imagination.
The oil on canvas has silver and chalcopyrite added to raise the resonance of the work. I also mixed energized sand from my expeditions into the paint giving the impasto body and texture as well as keeping the energy of the painting in zero point balance. The… chalcopyrite is a stone of protection and enhancement of perception. Silver also increases perception while acting as a mirror to the soul. It increases the connection between the physical and astral bodies removing the unconscious fear about not returning. Silver helps one to understand the reasons behind tasks while increasing the perseverance for undertaking said tasks. This uplifting piece has the feel of flight, of freedom, of being untethered to the physical. The impasto ground's one just enough.
