About this artwork
I truly believe we - as human beings - are changed by the people we meet, the stories we live.... Moving from Belgium to Norway, living in the midst of the woods, has changed me as a person. I am in the middle of a transformation from being a docile woman to becoming a free soul.
I felt tired, exhausted to my bones, disoriented and many times totally lost. It takes a full spoon of resilience to keep on walking this path. It takes vulnerability… and authenticity to share about it.
Moving forward, inviting change in, staying curious is what keeps me going to becoming that free woman that listens to her own intuition and wisdom. 'JUST BECAUSE' is about doing what you love to do just because it gives you so much energy. Filling your own cup with self love, self appreciation and becoming your best friend.

My artwork is known for its abstract qualities, incorporating emotional movement, graffiti-style marks, and words to establish a ‘social ground’ within my paintings.
Through this process, I aim to question, challenge, and provoke established narratives and cultural hierarchies, particularly those surrounding equality and abuse; while inviting new perspectives and interpretations.
I have studied for almost 20 years at both the Academy of Art in Brugge & Mechelen, Belgium. I am classically trained and I master a wide range of painting and drawing techniques, from realistic work to expressive and experimental styles.
