About this artwork
There are bodies that do not inhabit a place, but an unstable instant.
This figure never quite takes shape. It appears and dissolves simultaneously, as if its form were merely an attempt, a rehearsal for presence. The gesture opens up, fragments, fades into space, and yet something remains.
There's no intention of defining it completely. I'm interested in that point where the image is still unfolding, where identity isn't a fixed form but a process… of transition.
Color bursts forth like a pulse. It doesn't describe, it pierces through. It's almost the only thing that affirms that there is life there, amidst that dissolution.
Painting this is not about constructing an image, but about accompanying that process in which something tries to appear without ever becoming complete.
