About this artwork
In this painting, I mixed oil with tempera impressed on cotton by the public at a village festival, to capture a vibrant dialogue between spectators and authors. The house represented is a place of refuge, of play, oscillating between the clarity and distortion of childhood memories. I reinterpreted the image using vivid touches of color to evoke a sense of nostalgia and transformation, inviting the viewer to explore their own emotional memories.… Each pictorial gesture charges the domestic environment with a new emotional energy.
« Only time will tell if it is Art, but is it important? Love will save the world. »
Carolina Moretti is an award-winning Italian painter whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France. She believes in the power of art and thinks that is mostly a form of universal communication. The act of creating has always aided Moretti in understanding, elaborating, and reflecting on life. Drawing upon her own experience, she tries to make people reflect on the contradictions of our society.
