About this artwork
This painting has a unique story to tell. One day, while returning from his studio, the artist encountered a young man with a passion for art. After discussing contemporary art, he expressed his admiration for his painting, even comparing it to a work by Kandinsky. But upon closer inspection, he noticed something strange: the outline of a closed eye on the canvas.
However, the artist, while carrying her painting, did not realize that it was upside… down. She had not paid attention to this detail, preferring to let herself be guided by her inspiration without any specific goal. When she returned home, she turned the painting over and discovered this closed eye that she had not seen until then. Intrigued by this discovery, she decided to continue her work from this point.
This is how she added an open eye to form a face, even though this was not planned in any way. It just goes to show that a chance encounter can change the creation of a painting!

Catherine Sénéchal comes from a family of painters and musicians and is taking over with panache.
