About this artwork
Some paintings—when the paint is barely dry—are already saying to me, "Show me, show me!" They want so badly to be shown to the world 😉 This painting is titled "Authenticity." It's about that same message that sits within us and says, "Show me, show ME."
Show the real ME to the world, just as I am.
Be authentic.
Be yourself.
When we are authentic, we show ourselves.
When we aren't, we use various tricks and disguise mechanisms... The thing about… paintings is that sometimes someone hides them in the closet, saying, "I don't like this one, so I won't show it to anyone."
We do the same to ourselves when we censor ourselves and aren't authentic.
So, my wish for US, along with this painting, is: "Don't hide yourself in the closet! Show yourself!"
Accompanied by the beautiful French word that accompanies this very act of showing something: "Voila!" I show you my AUTHENTICITY
