About this artwork
My creation is a fusion of minimalism and abstraction, playing on textures and light. I integrated acrylic, collage and pencil in order to provoke inner reflection, quiet contemplation. It is a work imbued with mystery and poetry which invites calm and which will bring an introspective and serene dimension to your space. Please note that I cannot provide precise names or identities for real or imagined works of art.
Chantal Cartier is a painter born in Le Mans into a family of musicians. For more than 30 years, she has dedicated her life to painting, an art that allows her to "write" emotions and perceptions deeply rooted within her. Alongside painting, she also works with ink, collage and photography, three disciplines which complement her research work. Today, it is in her studio located in Charente-Maritime that she continues her artistic approach, immersed in a setting that inspires calm and reflection. The meaning of her work, of her research, is nourished by what she experiences and what she sees.... She attempts to capture a certain essential in an instant, oscillating between abstraction and figuration, using matter and form. "I am not looking for an "explanatory" painting, but a painting of feeling, of emotion."
