About this artwork
“I am free and that is why I am lost.”
-Franz Kafka
When it ends, you are going to want to crawl inside yourself until you no longer recognize your own skin. What they don’t tell you is that ends don’t have to be nuclear, messy or a bad thing. Sometimes they are cool light washing over the horizon, reminding you they are not ends at all but transitions.
So she became made of tokens, passports and stamped document to prove she came back into the… world and has traveled far from that place of loss. Yet only to return not being a part of anything she once loved and alien to her outer landscape.
So she hid her bird heart, that was aflutter around people. She hid the viol of her hearts tune and the melody of her life. She might die without flying though she could.
She must become a wildflower again, let her soul be scattered by the wind to grow wild and free, tall and brave, in the places that she dreams, in the places where the souls longings are filled.
« My art is an expression of my spirit to the spirits of those that connect with it. I seek to create a memory, wish, or a moment of joy and peace in the soul of the viewer. »
