About this artwork
Title Don't loose your eye
As I reflect on my painting "Don't Lose Your Eye," I am transported back to the time when I was in Chile with my theater group during the protests against the government.
It profoundly moves me to think about the people who, in those tumultuous times, sometimes lost an eye—a tragic symbol of the struggle they endured.
My painting invites us to maintain our vision of what is truly happening in the world.
The colors I… chose come together like a mask, urging us to protect ourselves while still remaining hopeful.
Amidst the chaos of life, it is vital not to lose sight of beauty and the message of hope.
By bringing these elements together, I aim to foster a dialogue about the power of perception,
the importance of keeping a critical eye, and the necessity of standing up for what is right.
Every detail in the painting reflects my desire to inspire the viewer, encouraging them not just to look, but to truly see.
