In this work, I wanted to capture the complexity of inner growth, using pieces of torn and wrinkled paper to symbolize life's fragmented experiences. The disheveled roots speak of deep and chaotic emotions, while the central column stands with strength and precariousness. A vibrant energy that conveys tension and hope, perfect for those who wish to bring movement and reflection into their home.
Chiara De Zan primarily uses collage and décollage on paper, the result of a multi-layered education in art, design, photography, and manual practices. Her works emerge from a surprising tactile mastery: she cuts, tears, layers, and embraces fragility as a structure, transforming every wound in the material into language. Her style is a palimpsest between abstraction and presence, where every layer is a living memory. Her works exude a powerful emotion of vulnerability, resistance, and truth, inviting the viewer beyond the surface to an authentic encounter with matter and time.
