About this artwork
I created this large-format abstract work from a digital photograph (in the center) depicting reflections on the surface of a marsh. I took this photo one autumn day during a hike to the source of the Essonne River. The tones are based on harmonies of blue, black, and ochre. This work is an explosion of emotions. Each brushstroke of acrylic paint conveys the inner chaos and the light that emerges from it. I wanted to capture the tension between shadow…
