About this artwork
This painting really requires no description. What's special is the introspective gaze. Madalina looks into herself, not at the viewer, despite direct facial contact. When "she" communicates with the viewer, she explains herself. Her expression of inner and outer beauty, with a mix of strength, pride, and melancholy, captivates the viewer and often reflects their current state of mind.
Christian Moll works exclusively with acrylic on canvas, allowing the painterly quality of his works to speak for itself. His technique oscillates between expressive figuration and free abstraction: sometimes he reduces strong forms to a few lines, sometimes he superimposes up to 30 lines into complex compositions. His work reflects emotional tension, inner complexity, and an intuitive creative flow, inviting the viewer to discover their own moods in the vibrant portraits and striking images.
