About this artwork
This piece was created live, following the rhythm and movement of a dancer. It was painted in one gesture, intuitively, without any further intervention , unlike my usual practice where layers and reworking shape the final result.
At this stage, I choose to share the work in its raw form, embracing its immediacy and spontaneity. Still, I remain open to revisiting it in the future, allowing it to evolve further.
For now, this artwork is not available… for sale , it’s simply offered here as a moment suspended in motion.
Christina Foitou, hail from Athens, mastering Fine Arts in Venice, oscillates between Greece, France, and dances with her brushes on mediums of acrylics, charcoal, and collage. Revolving around rhythmic abstract expressionism, the influence of Byzantine calligraphy contours her work, intersecting expressive abstraction with symbolic scribbles engaging viewers in an exploratory dialogue. Her abstract compositions, vivid with feminine vulnerability and strength, echo the fragile weight of being human.
