About this artwork
In this oil painting, I attempted to capture the vibrant energy of a moment suspended between sky and sea. One can imagine being that little figure, dreaming while gazing at the beauty of nature. The nuanced colors and expressive forms convey and invite an inner journey and contemplation. It is an invitation to serenity and, at the same time, a breath of life, a gentle and profound strength, like a poetic call to open oneself to the world with harmony.… My son has selected it for the upcoming publication of our second book.
Christine Desplanque, trained in oil, acrylic and gold and silver leaf, is influenced by impressionism and expressionism. Her colorful and luminous paintings, true odes to nature, do not aim to describe it, but to provoke an introspective stroll. Her works, part of the Art Resilience movement, evoke the balance between opposites, the mystery of life and the quest for serenity. Her universe is a hymn to life.
She is one of the 60 artists of Art Resilience.
