In this painting, I have captured the quiet, misty atmosphere of the city of Passau, as seen from the Inn River. The colorful facades of the houses rise gently along the riverbank, while the striking towers of the cathedral stand serenely watching over the scene. The water of the Inn appears cool and clear, with a subtle shimmer that makes the winter air palpable.
The colors remain harmonious and understated—warm yellows and oranges from the buildings… blend seamlessly with the deep blue of the river, without becoming overpowering. The light mist ties everything together, lending the scene a dreamy softness.
