About this artwork
The experimental approach is fundamental in CP's work
Continuing her experimental approach, she herself mixes acrylics with varnishes, color pigments, different acrylic mediums… This allows her to obtain a wider and more varied palette of pictorial effects: several levels of opacity and transparency, brighter or more translucent colors, matte and textured effects.
Achieving a simple and essential composition is, for her, exciting and is one of… the most difficult things to achieve as an artist.
She summarizes her artistic research as follows: “I am a painter of emotions and what I try to do is simply to translate my aesthetic ideas and my deep feelings into a pictorial language which is a communication passing through the gaze.

« My work resonates with the personal history of each viewer, like music. It is abstract art: I am a painter of emotions ... »
Christine Pacaud is an artist based in the Dominican Republic whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United Kingdom, France, and the United States. Describing her works as a dreamlike and emotional journey, she continuously searches for harmony between the external world and the "intimate self". Pacaud's abstractions are created using mixed media on metal or canvas.
