About this artwork
This work is a centerpiece of my artistic journey.
Following a profound psychological shock, I lost the use of color in my work for four years. During this period, I also expressed myself through figurative art, as an inner necessity.
The very essence of my spirit was then revealed with sincerity and simplicity.
This work is part of a series of eight portraits of the same format.
« My work is guided by a desire to push the barriers of intellectualization towards a universal language. »
Christine Vannier is a multidisciplinary artist based in France and listed at I-CAC. Self-taught Breton visual artist, at the crossroads of intuition and rigor. Trained in architecture, she has explored visual languages since childhood as so many sensitive bridges between beings. His works, whether in the form of paintings, sculptures or virtual reality experiences, are guided by a profound quest: to awaken consciousness to inner and collective peace. Inspired by her travels – from the sea to the mountains of Nepal – she cultivates a joyful humanism, placing artistic creation at the service of connection, harmony and life. Present in Paris, Shanghai, Manhattan and Saint-Barthélemy, it invests each space as a place of universal and peaceful dialogue.
