Watercolor paints on wet paper are applied and blended with a brush in an evolving lemniscate transformation. There is no opportunity for critical analysis because the growing form demands all concentration. Without any censorship of consciousness, the beautiful experience of color unfolds unexpectedly.
The painting exercises are structured in such a way that, on the one hand, they demand the painter's full attention… to follow and maintain the formative movement, while on the other hand, they do not allow them to develop ideas about what they want to depict in the picture. They must watch what emerges under their hands, cut off from their own judgment. They have neither the time nor the space to judge, because they are completely occupied with remaining alert in the movement.
They notice the beauty of what is happening on the paper and are filled with wonder. In wonder, they encounter what is.
